Nneka knows service. She served our country in the US Navy and when her term was up, she opened The Celebrities Boutique followed by Celebrities Quality Painting INC. and began caring for customers and employees alike. Both businesses bring quality and style to their customers (the first as a clothing boutique, the second with both government and residential painting and maintenance services). Nneka also cares for her employees, finding joy in being able to offer both employment and a listening ear. Every year, Nneka donates a portion of her profits to a different community organization where she sees a need. She created the first Veteran’s Resource Closet in Mt. Vernon City Hall.
Everybody should do something outside of work – Nneka’s hobby is singing. She recently combined work and fun, however, when she sang for the National Association of Minority Contractors – NAMC… which was a great networking opportunity for Celebrities Quality Painting.
Nneka lives her life by knowing “If you do things from your heart and give back to your community, God will always bless you. This is my ministry and not just about my business. It’s about being there for people.” She appreciates the community she has at the Morningstar Full Gospel Assembly.
